Little things you can drop into your own house — a guestbook, a hit counter, the slug's scarf. Copy the one line under each and paste it into your page, wherever you want it. They work on a hand-written site, a generated one, or the canal house — no build step, nothing to install. Each one runs sealed in its own little frame, so it can't touch the rest of your page, and whatever a visitor types stays inside it.
